Datapath is a trusted technology managed service provider looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales Support Specialist to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the sales efforts by providing administrative and operational assistance. This position is designed for individuals with a keen interest in sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Sales Support Specialist will be trained to eventually transition into a Junior Account Manager role.
This role is designed as a steppingstone to a Junior Account Manager position. The Sales Support Specialist will undergo training and mentorship to acquire the skills necessary for managing client accounts independently. Responsibilities
Administrative Support
Assist in maintaining and organizing sales documentation.
Prepare and submit sales orders, contracts, and other relevant paperwork.
Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth order processing.
Helping track sales activity, opportunity activity and compiling daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
Helping to expedite orders, tickets, and projects through internal liaisons.
Outbound Calling
Conduct outbound calls to prospective clients to generate leads.
Qualify leads and schedule appointments for the sales team.
Provide information about products or services, addressing client inquiries.
Contacting customers by phone or email to answer queries and assist them with account information.
Sales Team Collaboration
Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand their needs and provide timely support.
Assist in the development of sales presentations and proposals.
Maintain communication channels with internal stakeholders.
Schedule appointments for Sales Personnel follow-up
Client Relationship Management
Develop and nurture relationships with clients through regular follow-ups.
Gather feedback from clients to identify areas for improvement.
Identifying and tracking product and service sales campaigns.
Tracking deal registrations, vendor commission programs and marketing MDF opportunities.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree in business or related field is a plus).
Proven experience in a sales support or administrative role, or a similar role within information technology, equipment, or service providers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional organizational, urgency, and follow-up skills.
Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
An eagerness to learn and develop sales skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Familiarity with sales reports and sales records.
Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Superb phone skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport with customers.
Passionate and committed to being a sales catalyst and reaching decision makers.
Ability to formulate and articulate contractual, technical, financial and value points with partners and internal team.
